It's a time of peace in Radiant Garden. The worlds are isolated. Aside from the occasional monster attack, nothing really happens in this world. However, things aren't entirely perfect. Rumors are abound that the scientists in Lord Ansem's lab are close to a breakthrough involving hearts. People see this as a huge advancement, while some are hearing that there are rather... unorthodox methods. Whispers of dark powers being used by scientists to further their progress. And save for two masters, Keybladers and Keyblades are all but dead with no one even remembering that they exist.
Kingdom Hearts: Awakening is an AU taking place in an alternate timeline taking place right before the Heartless first appear on Radiant Garden. As of this version of the ad, the worlds are still isolated, with Radiant Garden and Space Paranoids being the only playable areas at the moment. Live through the Heartless invasion as Radiant Garden tries to ride out the first wave of Heartless as they spread throughout the cosmos, linking the worlds, and rewrite the very canon of Kingdom Hearts. Characters start out completely powerless. But after some development, can go through their own Awakening, and with time, learn to wield a Keyblade from one of the last two Masters.
