FULL NAME|| Victor Maxim Hunter (Baskov) NICKNAME(S)|| Forceful Alchemist AGE|| Twenty-Nine GROUP|| Amestrian Military NATIONALITY|| Drachman/Ishvalan OCCUPATION|| State Alchemist CANON OR ORIGINAL|| Original
ALCHEMIST?|| Yes ABILITIES/TECHNIQUES||
Victor has a unique alchemy, some even say it is his only alchemy and while this is not enitrely true it mist as well be. Unlike most other alchemy styles which on transforming matter, Victor's alchemy focuses instead on the transformation and manipulation of energy.
To be more specific Victor can absorb, build up and redirect kinetic energy. Not only can he manipulate exsisting kinetic energy, but he can break down matter for the potential energy and then use that newly released potential energy as kinetic force.
This kinetic energy based alchemy allows Victor to absorb all forms of kinetic energy. This means he can absorb the force from bullets, blades, hand to hand combat, the kinetic force of explosions and falls. From that point he can redirect the force back into his own attacks, motions such as jumping or he can simply disperse it into an object or into the ground around him.
This does not mean he is invincible by any means. No, he is quite far from it. He is still human after all and can still be burned, poisoned, electrocuted and so on. In fact he can still be harmed by kinetic energy if he is not concious such as when he is sleeping.
i will be the one that's gonna hold you THE APPEARENCE i will be the one that you run to •••
HAIR|| Red EYES|| Red HEIGHT/WEIGHT|| 7'3'' 372 lbs. GENERAL DESCRIPTION|| Victor is a very hard man to mistake. Standing at an impressive seven feet three inches and weighing in at a whopping three-hundred and seventy-two pounds he is a fearsome sight indeed.
Victor is also a slightly odd site to say the least. Having tan skin and red eyes, people easily see his Ishvalan lineage, but what they do not realize is that Victor was not always so tan. He pureposefully ket himself outside to darken more and hide his Drachman side. To this effect he has also dyed his hair red to hide his dark black. His appearance screams Ishvalan, or with his eyes hiden still sreams foreigner, but few things indicate his Drachman lineage.
As for clothing Victor often wears his uniform, but generally it is only half on with his jacket rarely being buttoned if it is on at all. When off duty he tends to wear sleeveless or short sleeve shirts with dark pants.
The only time he wears his full armor is when he believes he may get into a fight. Generally this was only when sent on missions to hunt down traitors, AWOL soldiers as well as battles like the promised day. He also has had leather reinforcements added to the inside of his uniform for when he wants to not display it.
Both types of his armor are made of leather and in actuality is not meant to protect him from bullets or blades, but to protect him from fire or electricity. Of course it does not offer perfect protection, but has been treated to resist substantial burns and has a thin layer of rubber between two layers of leather to help resist the electrical shocks.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES|| Well apart from Victor's almost insane size and his foreign look already described above, the only other thing to be noted is that he has a transfiguration array on his body. Like many arrays it has been tattoo'd to his body, but has not been done in just any ink. Instead it has been done in an ink that nearly is a perfect match for his skin tone. This means that his array will always be with him when he needs it, but unlike others which might not be easy to see, this is damn near impossible to see even close up.
my love is a burning, consuming fire THE PERSONALITY no you'll never be alone •••
LIKES|| • Food • Drinking • Spending time with friends • Fighting • Women DISLIKES|| • Having to lie all the time • Innocents being harmed • Strict/uptight people • Tedious tasks • Large bodies of water
GENERAL PERSONALITY|| Victor is loud, gluttonous, rude and a smart ass, but. . . he is also an all around good person. Yes he may be loud, but that noise is often his laughter. He may be gluttonous, but he sees no reason not ot enjoy life to the fullest. He might be considered rude, but generally this is because he rarely is formal and acts far too familiar even with complete strangers. He might be a smartass, but this is often in the form of playful teasing or horrible puns.
Some might see these as bad traits, but it is these very traits that have won him some friends in the military and through the country. Still, there are some traits some would give him that no one could deny were good. He is loyal, kind and very protective.
These so called traits of his that everyone considers his best qualities are just lies for the most part. You see, his loyalty lies with Drachma and he has been a spy for them for many years. Although he has never seen Drachma he still serves them for the love he has for his father. His kindness is partially true, as he does not like to see women or innocent people suffer, but he can and has set aside his own feelings when necessary. Last is his protective instinct. While he does feel the need to protect his friends it is a feeling he knows he will be called to set aside when Drachma invades Amestris.
Perhaps his true redeeming quality in all of this is that he feels guilty for what he is doing. . . He hates lying to his friends and hates the idea of destroying what he helped to build and what he fought to protect just two years before.
when darkness comes i'll light the night with stars THE HISTORY hear my whispers in the dark •••

Victor was born to an Ishvalan mother and a Drachman father. Victor's father has told him a more romatntic story about a chance meeting, but in truth Victor's father had picked her out months before they actually met and acted like the man of her dreams.
The only reason he even did this was to establish a cover id to send intelligence reports from the region to his Drachman superiors. So it seems only natural that Victor's life would be based on a lie, when he was destined to lie to everyone.
Victor's mother would never get to have a great impact on his life, as she succumbed to a particularly intense fever one night. Victor never knew, but his father was the cause of the fever that took his mother from him. She had served her purpose and had given him a child to deflect suspicion from himself. Now she was only a risk, someone who might stumble upon his identity.
Of course Victor did not know any of this and lad a fairly normal childhood. He was always bigger than the other kids and had to be more careful, but other than that he played like any other child. Although, some o the games his father taught him were less than normal. Games like secreft finder, don't talk or extreme hide and seek. Not to mention the lessons his father gave him on the countries of the world and a basic understanding of who held the power in each.
It was when Victor was about nine that he started to learn about alchemy. They had just moved to Central and one of the first sights Victor witnessed was an alchemist reapiring a clock. the young boy was of course interested immediately and his father pushed Victor to try and learn.
Victor's teacher was a man by the name of Garvin Taven who was well liked in the community for helping everyone with their problems. Gavin enjoyed teaching victor because even though Victor had a short attention span he had what Gavin called an alchemist's heart. You see, Victor wanted knowledge, but what he truly wanted was a means to help people like Gavin did.
His father had other plans for his son's alchemy though. After all Maxim (Victor's father) was still a spy for the Drachman and had a mission to complete. Besides, who would be a better underling than his own son who already obeyed his every wish.
As said before, while Victor was an eager student he had a rather short attention span and honestly had a hard time remembering subtle differences between various things. After several years Gavin thought Victor would fail in his quest to become an alchemist.
Finally though Gavin realized that Victor was just having difficulties styaing focused with the long lectures or tedious reading, he decided to teach Victor with physical examples. The easiest example to show was energy, to be more specific kinetic energy. Gavin did this by playing a game of pool (billiards) where he showed that when he struck the cue ball which was sitting directly against the seven ball, that the force would transfer without moving the cue.
While Gavin had meant for this to become the first of many lessons the time between teacher and student had come to a close. You see, father and son were moving once more; this time their destination was East City. What was the reason for another move? Quite simple really, Maxim was building a spy network and had to recruit people personally. He had spies in South City and Central, now he was working on East City. . .
So far from his teacher, Victor was forced to try and find another. While many entertained the idea of Victor as a student due to his former teacher, the minute they found out he could only do extremely basic transmutations they laughed him off. Victor had no other option, but to teach himself now. . . So he stuck to the lesson Gavin had helped him understand and slowly branched off of it, studying first kinetic energy and then potential energy.
After several years near Victor's seventeenth birthday he had a break through. He had found a method in which he could transmute energy and like shaping materials with alchemy, he could cause it to flow where he wanted. Of course this took much more research (trial & error) to prefect. The end result being his ability to absorb and redirect kinetic energy, as well as to destroy matter for its potential energy and to transform this protential energy into kinetic energy.
Victor's father saw this as something to use. Oh he was proud of his son of course, but the mission came first. It was now that Maxim pushed for Victor to join the Amestrian military as a state alchemist.
At first Victor was hesitant, after all Gavin had never liked the idea of state alchemists. The again he never had hated them either. Gaving simply saw them as misguided in their attempt to do good. Maxim kept pushing though and finally got Victor by pointing out that his alchemy could only be used when someone attacked him.
While this was not entirely true since Victor could destroy matter for its potential energy or simply keep absorbing small amounts of his own kinetic energy, he understood what his father meant. So he took the exam to become a state alchemist. . .
Over the years he had worked on his normal alchemy, but it was still a joke compared to most other alchemists. Knowing he had to do something to impress them Victor requested the proctor to have a squad of men shoot at him. At first they were hesitant, but finally agreed thinking he would make a wall or armor.
To their shock Victor simply stood there and took the rounds. What they did not notice was that a transmutation array had activated on Victor's body just before they shot. Victor absorbed the kinetic force of the bullets and disperesed it into the ground.
He was quickly accepted as a state alchemist, receving the title of the "Forceful Alchemist." In part due to how his alchemy worked, but also as a mild joke at how many alcheists that had been pased over said he had forced his way iinto being a state alchemist.
That night Victor went out celebrating and in the early hours of the following morning he stumbled through the door to find his father calmly waiting for him. Victor expected something along the lines of congradulations followed by a disappointed lecture for drinking under age. After all Victor had received such lextures before because his large size had allowed him to pass as an adult for years.
This was not the case though. His father had been waiting to make sure his son's loyalty was absolute before he got too chummy with the Amestrian military. So Victor was sat down by his father who prepared some food to help sober him up and then began to tell Victor his purpose.
He told him how he had come nearly two decades ago to set up a spy network for his homeland. Maxim spoke of Drachma as a glorious nation which he had only hinted at before. He talked of its people and how its lands had been stolen by the Amestrians. Through all of this Victor sat in a half drunk, half stunned stupor.
Finally Maxim came to the point they were working towardss the entire conversation. He wanted Victor to use his new position to spy on the Amestrian military. After all state alchemists started off as a fairly high rank and were privy to all sorts of classified information.
It took about ten minutes for Victor to decide, after all Amestris was all he had really known and he hated the idea of lying to those who had accepted him. He had just made an oath to serve the country and its people, the second he had already swore when he became and alchemist. Every son though was born with a promise though. . . a promise to obey their parents and Victor did love his father even now when he asked him to betray everything he had ever known.
So the loving son agreed to help his father and began to feed him a reluctant stream of information. First Victor just have him basic information like the amount of troops at various locations, training methods, small bits of information on some prominent alchemists. Eventually though his father wanted more important information like cyphers used for encoding messages, weapon schematics and so on.
Victor was ready to give the information to him, but it was around then that he was sent to West City to help with a border conflict. His father thankfully had to stay behind, else raise suspicion for leaving his little coffee shop which had become quite popular in the past few months thanks to Victor telling everyone he met about it.
When Victor arrived he thought he was no longer going to have to lie and betray, but could still not be a disappointment to his father since he had been ordered there. The next day he realized how foolish it had been to think that, that realization had hit him when he awoke to find a letter slipped under the door to his room.
It was from his father an innocent enough, if a bit long. Victor knew better though. . . it was one of the "games" his father had taught him. Victor took a handful of soil from a potted plant inside his room, drew a circle and transmuted it to sand. He then slowly sprinkled it on and lightly moved the paper left to right with its face up. Sure enough the sand settled in letters his father had pressed harder on, the message reading:
Keep eye on broder dispute, forward info with same method used here. I expect info about West City command as well. Don't disappoint.
The letter had been a few pages for him to effectively hide such a large message, but then his father unlike him was a very patient man. Furthermore his message was clear. . . Victor could not escape his promise through orders or distance. As much as he hated what he was going to do, he could not break the love he held for his father either.
So Victor remained at West City for Several Years. Over that time he made dozens of friends and grew closer to some friends in East City by keeping in contact over the phone. He also gained combat experience, found and lost love several times. . . and of course sent classified information to his father.
Every year Victor worked on improving his alchemy and slowly made it less of a joke. He also worked on trying to convert other forms of energy into kinetic force, but generally met with nothing more than a burn or shock. It was while doing this that Victor stumbled across one of his tricks. It was a particularly heavy day of fighting and many Amestrian soldiers had died. In truth he was one of the few left on the lines, thinking just to use his strength Victor ripped a heavy caliber machine gun off its bipod and then while firing it noticed how close of a grouping he was getting. This due to the kinetic force of the recoil being absorbed from each round which meant the gun barely moved while firing.
It was these years of combat of experience that would help save so many lives on the Promised Day. Victor had been contacted by Grumman who had been on friendly terms with Victor and when West City forces marched to the aid of Central, Victor waited until they arrived at the city then began to take West City soldiers out amongst their own lines, delaying a large amount of their soldiers from reinforcing the Central Troops.
As said before it was his actions here that saved many lives on both sides. Victor was essentially a blur of motion, taking hits from nearly all sides from dozens of rounds being fired towards him, but simply absorbed their kinetic force and used it in his strikes against the West City soldiers rendering most unconcious and in some cases having to just break bones to keep them down.
He won friends that day and sadly pissed off many people for what they saw as turning on them. He was thanked by Grumman and a few soldiers he had helped, but in truth he did not need any thanks. He was just happy that for once his alchemy had been used to save lives instead of take them.
Victor's father on the other hand was upset that such a golden opprotunity had been missed. He had known of the Drachman assault against Fort Briggs and instead of Victor helping with the assault he had helped defend the nation and further unite it. What angered Maxim even more was the fact that even though Victor had helped overthrow Bradley that he did not even recieve a promotion which would have at least given them access to more classified information.
Perhaps the only good thing to come from all of this was Victor had gotten into some higher-ups good graves for his part played in the promised day. On top of that with Bradley gone, Maxim believed it would be easier to topple Amestris.
In the past ten years Victor has continued to feed his father the day to day activities of the military as well as some of their larger projects. In this time he has lived up to his fake last name and has been hunting down AWOL troops, criminals and remenants of Bradley sympathizers. This mainly due to his abilities which generally allow him to capture these men and women alive.
At the moment Victor is in Central where his father has moved back to. In part to visit Maxim, but also because he has come to drop off two new prisoners and to receive his new orders.

YOUR APPLICATION IS... ACCEPTED VICTOR HUNTER , please fill out the necessary claims and join in to determine the shape of this country. I've asked myself why I even read your applications. I know you're completely capable of producing a very thorough character. The way you flesh out your characters is very exciting and I know I can expect something interesting with each part. Always a unique alchemy and a history that makes me feel like I am actually seeing those key milestones in his life. You touched on him drinking and having fun after passing his state alchemist test? That just screamed his true self despite what his father shoves down his throat. In other words, excuse me while I just love on this humongous teddy bear because my characters are shut ins. You are without a doubt good to go and I hope you have ridiculous amounts of fun with him!
