Preface
My name is Aaron Shadovenske and during the writing of this compilation I am thirty-six years of age. Most would know me better by my current alias, 'The Crossfire Alchemist'. What you will find in this journal are significant research notes I've written in my studies, pertaining mainly to but not limited to my style of 'flame' alchemy. I use this term loosely. What will be compiled here are not the original research pages themselves, but rather my own rewriting of the notes, with appropriate editing and commentary where needed so that they can be understood by people not as versed with alchemy. These notes are not in chronological order. They will be copied as I unpack them, as most are currently in storage. Please be aware that the alchemy noted in these texts can be very dangerous, and that the practice of it can and likely will result in military investigation. This is a combat-oriented style, and there's no reason for any civilian to use it. Access to this journal will be limited due to its nature. Those found with an illegal copy will be put to trial. This is being written primarily for a special branch of the military devoted to studying complex alchemy. State Alchemists who have been noted to have an exceptional talent for the art are put into a special program and will have access to this journal. This is the sole purpose for its creation.
