First off, I'm obviously the best brother a person could ever have, I'm generous and helpful and people love being around me. (Note: interviewee seems prone to arrogance, boasting, and exaggerations... especially when referencing to himself.) I don't care much of what other people think of me, everyone has their own opinions and I never let them bother me. (This seems apparent, judging by the interviewee's choice of dress and style...) Then again, say something I don't like and you might have to worry about my fist in your face. (Surprisingly, the interviewee outright admits to being hotheaded - this coincides with past reports of his actions.... from several separate occasions, in fact.)
I believe everyone should take responsibility for their own actions. Jeez, I'm stubborn, I admit it. Whatever, it's not really a fault since that also means I'm too stubborn to give up in any situation I involve myself in. I got my brother his body back, didn't I? Yeah, you can put determined down as one of my positive traits! (interviewee grows more cocky by the second... quite clearly has an overabundance of faith in himself.)

(After further discussions with the subject, it has become exceedingly apparent that he can be vindictive, petty, selfish, reckless, astonishingly arrogant, blunt, and has a disdain for authority. Despite... many flaws, great care was displayed for his brother, his family, and his friends. Compassion was not expected from this particular subject, but it appears that assumption was incorrect. Subject seems determined to hide it, however, chooses to stubbornly deny it. (Side note: interviewee does not seem to be fond of the word 'short'.)[/blockquote][/blockquote]

( tell us a bit about your history now )
Alphonse and I found a teacher, Izumi Curtis, and managed to get her to teach us everything she knew about alchemy. We were already decent at it by the time we met her, but she definitely made us more proficient at it and at the same time taught us hand-to-hand combat. She taught us that "One is all, and all is one", but that didn't stop us from returning home only to attempt to perform human transmutation in order to revive our dead mother. In the end, Al lost his entire body... I lost my left leg. And after I bound his soul to a suit of armor, I lost my right arm as well.
I was miserable, ready to give up everything when Roy Mustang appeared at Pinako's house and I met him for the first time. He gave me the idea of becoming a state alchemist, and maybe through that we could return our bodies to normal. A lot happened to us after that ordeal, but the most important thing was that we were determined to get our bodies back. I had an automail arm and leg crafted for myself and by the age of twelve, I managed to become a state alchemist, a dog of the military. The fullmetal alchemist. And so we burned down our house and left to achieve our goals.
So much happened after that... it would take me way too long to detail it all out onto this page. I will say that because Alphonse and I had both seen the portal of truth, we had immediately been deemed 'sacrifices' by the one the homunculi called Father. At the time, we had no idea what that meant. It wasn't until the promised day that the full extent of what had been meant came into focus. In the end, Al sacrificed his metal body in order to return my right arm to me from the gate. And afterward, I gave up my gate entirely in order to bring Al back from that horrible place, losing my ability to perform alchemy in the process.
After Al was restored to his real body, I was finally filled with a sense of relief, I'd never been so happy. It was worth it. Anyway, alchemy or not, I still plan on heading west in order to learn more about their ways of alchemy.
