JACK WHITAKER TWENTYONE. ALCHEMIST. BODYGAURD. CENTRAL CITY. INTUITIVE. WITTY. THOROUGH. INTERVIEW
So this is Jack Whitaker. She's very funny, but there are very few people that actually know that. If you were to ask her, she would describe herself as introverted, rather than anti-social. She does well in social situations, even if she doesn't exactly 'blend in'. Half of her job is, after all, simply intimidation. She's a nice girl, generally. She can do her job just fine, thank you, she doesn't need nor does she want your help. As far a meticulous goes, she's where the definition comes to for answers. There is no alley passed, no wall walked, no door opened before she has checked and inspected it. Of course she's not all about her job all the time. If there ever was a girl who's mantra was 'work hard, play hard' this one has it down to a science. She never indulges in any sort of alcohol, drugs, or overly dangerous activity on her occasional night off during a security detail, but after about half a year of work she can take a month off to go visit home, travel a bit, drink lots of alcohol and just generally do whatever she wants. She's kind, moral, and once you get to know her - either through work or somewhere else, you'll find that she's very clever, easy to talk to, and always up for a good story. So everythings open! Tell me what you have in mind for this young, ambitious, alchemist turned private bodyguard.

Well first off let me say that I love that you have the Major as your FC, I love Ghost in the Shell. Anyways on to the plotting. Right now I have just the one character (Ashur Grey, State Alchemist, Colonel in the military) who is going through a, somewhat difficult patch at the moment. He is a fiercely loyal person, following orders whether he liked them or not. The only time he broke this loyalty was on the Promised Day (battle for Central), where he turned on the Furher and fought against the top brass.
Apart from his loyalty, there are few things to his personality. He keeps himself distant from everyone, including his own family. He tries to be polite, but at times can be very rude when he can't keep his blunt nature in check or when using his special type of alchemy (which can effect his emotions in many ways) Anyways he does like strong women, so I believe he would have an attraction to Jack, but the fact that he always pushes people away so they can't be used against them and so he can't be used against them might interfere. He is of course always in need of friends as well and I am happy to do whatever you feel like.

Awesome! Let's get to it then. I wouldn't say that Jack is loyal, more like duty-bound to whoever has hired her. She's very conscious of her reputation and knows that she must remain immaculate while she's on the job or else her career could be severely compromised. She's not exactly everyone's best friend, but I wouldn't say she's distant. She's introverted, but not disconnected like Ashur seems to be.
She's usually polite too and I think that if he ever broke decorum she'd be surprised. She's intuitive and excels at problems and puzzels that require lateral thinking but she's only mid-level intelligence and would need a whole lot of explanation to grasp his alchemy.
Ahaha, I think that she would be able to hold her own if he started to flirt with her. They might be fun to play out, she's usually all about work, unless you catch her on one of her 'off-seasons'. I think that if anything happened it'd be more of a one night stand (very little attachment,) and then an informal friendship thing.
I think they would be excellent friends. She's not a state alchemist and is still very much unsure of her future. So yeah. I don't know how they would meet/if they have yet, but I think they could be fun to play around with. Maybe they meet when she's on duty and meet up after? Maybe he knows her brother or something? It's all up in the air, I suppose, but what do you think?

Well there is an almost definite probability that he knows your bother and Father, at least knows of them. Ashur was one of the Furher's top men for a long time, acting as part of the Furher's private battalion. So, it was more or less his job to know people. This could mean that he knows you or maybe would at least have known about your name and reputation.
As for any relationship that may ensue, I could see the one night stand or possibly them using each other for that every now and then. As you said though, mainly informal friends for the most part. On top of that I could see them having a working relationship a bit as well. If Ashur ends up staying in Central for awhile he may try to convince her to become a state alchemist, or perhaps try to have her as an outside contractor for any jobs the military can't officially handle. -Shrugs- I'm not sure.
Anyways it could definitely be interesting to see the two of them together. One thing I should note is that while Ashur may try to flirt with her, he would not be very good at it. The last thing I wanted to ask was what you wanted to do for our first thread. I'm up for anything really.

Her father/brother aren't very high up or important. Foot soldiers, really. But if he heard of her family that would make sense - her father was an alchemist working on fortifying defenses in the east rather than being involved in the real fighting. Her reputation is more along the lines of all her past wards, when under her protection, did not die.
Working relationship would be good. I imagine if there was ever an elevated threat to the Capital maybe they would hire private guards for families, homes, important labs, etc. Or if there was some sort of diplomatic dinner thing and people needed escorts. There are tons of reasons why the military would want to hire out. She has a very finely tuned moral compass, so I don't know if she could be contracted to kill anyone.
I think she would just tease him about the flirting thing. It would be terribly funny. Ashur seems like such a dignified character, it's hard to imagine someone like that stumbling over words or pick up lines.
