Ezio is an incredibly skilled swordsman due to years of training and teachings passed down for generations in his family, though is not shy to use alchemy to boost the power of his blade. To be more inconspicuous, Ezio carries a revolver, which he transmutes into a fusion of a large blade and the revolver. He has a great deal of skill in gunmanship, stealth, acrobatics, blending, pick pocketing – pretty much everything needed to be a successful assassin.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION||
Ezio is a tall man with lean musculature, standing at a proud six feet and weighing in at around one hundred and seventy pounds. He has very thick, brown hair, which is kept at a medium length and usually appears shaggy and unkempt. Depending on the day, Ezio’s eyes can appear blue or green, though they typically appear a mixture of both. More often than not, Ezio dresses in dark clothing – black pants, a black zipped jacket with white fur lining around the coat collar, a white shirt, black gloves, and boots. In addition, he wears several belts (most concealing weapons) and a necklace with a silver lion head pendant.

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES||
Ezio’s most distinguishing feature is the large scar across his brow and the bridge of his nose. He also has the familial alchemic transmutation circle carved and scarred into his left hand (thus, the gloves). On his back is burned the Visconti family crest as a sign of his oath.

GENERAL PERSONALITY||
Ezio never really seemed to have been a child. Being the oldest of seven children and the firstborn son of the most powerful assassin in Aerugo, there was a lot of pressure on him to succeed in the family business. Ezio took on a great deal of responsibility as he grew and as his family grew. He developed a fierce sense of loyalty to his extremely large family and matured much more quickly than any of his siblings or cousins of his age. Because of this, Ezio’s father decided to begin training his son in the ways of the assassins at the tender age of eight. Due to this training, Ezio continued to grow into a very serious young man, learning to control and bottle his emotions, and building a rough exterior.

To everyone else, Ezio is a distant figure, holding his secrets close to his chest and preferring to be alone rather than in the company of others. To his family, however, Ezio is warm and passionate. Nothing compares to the loyalty Ezio has to his family and he values loyalty high above anything else. Betrayal is the most dishonorable of actions in Ezio’s eyes. He does not reach out for relationships beyond his family. He doesn’t really enjoy talking to other people, unless it has to do with getting information out of people (in which case, he is very persuasive). Ezio has vowed to not take on a partner – much to his mother’s dismay – because he fears she would be targeted by enemies (though that hasn’t stopped him from taking on a lover a few times). He takes his work very seriously and is excruciatingly competitive (or perhaps stubborn); rarely does he fail to complete a mission. Ezio is naturally intelligent, which, coupled with his skills in stealth, cunning, acrobatics, and swordsmanship, makes Ezio an assassin and opponent to be feared throughout the lands.

HISTORY||
Ezio was born August twenty-third in the Villa Visconti – the familial home of the Visconti clan – in Aerugo. He is the oldest son of Matteo Giovanni and Antonia Filippa. He was raised in a very affluent home with everything he could possibly want at his fingertips. Ezio had a very healthy balance growing up, being doted upon by his mother and toughened up by his father. Despite the wealth and nobility of his name, Ezio never grew arrogant, but instead raised as a chivalrous young gentleman. Ezio’s younger brother Domenico was born two years after him, and Alessandro three years after him. These three boys grew up close, as well as with a few other cousins close to their age; all of them were unaware that they were in a family of assassins.

When Ezio turned eight, Matteo decided it was time to begin training the children in his family who showed early skills that could prove to be worth honing in the life of an assassin. Ezio and Domenico, as well as five of their male cousins ranging between the ages of six and thirteen were all told of the family secret, sworn to an oath, and began their training. Along with the formal trainings of athletics and swordsmanship, Ezio and the rest of the boys began learning the ways of alchemy. This form of alchemy had been developed in the Visconti family many generations ago and to this day continued to help the assassins in their work.

Ezio proved to be the most skillful of the boys, quickly rising above the rest in strength, endurance, stealth, alchemy, and swordsmanship. It became known that one day, Ezio would become Head of the Aerugo Assassins and the Visconti family. At age seventeen, Ezio had completed training, had the familial transmutation circle carved in his left palm, was forged his own blade, and had begun doing work within the family. It was on Ezio’s third mission that he received the wound across his brow and nose. He and his older cousin were hired by a merchant to hunt down a man who had stolen money in a trade. The thief proved to be more skilled than Ezio had imagined and nearly got himself killed while protecting himself and his cousin. They escaped in the last second, failing their mission, and from that day Ezio swore he would not fail a mission so easily ever again.

To this day, Ezio upholds the image of a wealthy and proper nobleman of Aerugo while carrying the secret of his family’s work, slowly working his way up in the ranks and rivaling the skill of his own father.

Darkness had enveloped them. She widened her eyes, though she could not see his face. The only light was the faint blush of the glow in the dark stars that she had stuck to her ceiling three years ago. She needed to replace them, she thought. They were growing dimmer with each passing night.

All was quiet. The world around them seemed to have died out. The walls did not creak. The wind did not knock at their window. The streets did not have a single traveler. But she did not feel alone. She could hear his breathing; she could feel his steady heart beat. And on that night, it was all she could have ever asked for.

They were sunk deep within their blankets, lying face to face, their limbs tangled together, their bodies pressed as close as they would allow. She couldn’t keep her hands off of him– tracing her fingers along his jaw line, his lips, his hands, and his arms – trying to memorize his every feature before they would have to part once again.

She felt safe and vulnerable all at the same time. It was such an interesting feeling to have, she mused, to love and trust someone so completely that you fear letting him know your deepest thoughts, lest he realize that you aren’t the person he thought you to be.
But he never judged her, and she never him. They valued the soul of the other too much. They wanted to listen. They yearned to hear their deepest thoughts, to gain even just the slightest bit of insight to the mind that intrigued them so.

“Tell me a secret,” he whispered softly.

She remained silent for a long while. Her mind raced through memories, private thoughts, people she had known and the conversations she had, things that bothered her about the world and herself. What could she possibly tell him? What would interest him? What did he want to know? What didn’t he already know? There was so much that he already knew about her. She and him had been together for ages. Or, at least, it felt that way.
