Alphonse and Edward Elric were back on an adventure, well not yet but the anticipation was incredible. However now the elder brother had a task. Bring this kitten to Luke, the owner of a dojo on the other side of town. Eliza was in his pocket but he picked the kitten up and held it by the excess skin on the back of it's neck. "I could just leave you in an alley and no one would ever know..." He said but then.
An image of his angry younger brother showed up as he yelled and performed alchemy to destroy his elder brother. "I guess bringing you to the dojo wouldn't be too bad." He said as he stuffed Eliza back into his pocket and began to walk. Alphonse and those cats always had a way of getting on Edward's nerves. In the North he wouldn't have to worry about it though. Not to many stray cats wandered around there and none would around Briggs.. or Olivier would probably eat them.
Finally he arrived at the dojo and stared up, it seemed to be closed but Ed knocked anyway.. With no answer. "We are so not keeping you. I guess there is really only one way." Edward said as he opened the door sneakily but then walked in with a casual strut. No one seemed to be there. "Hello anyone here.." He called out but then noticed a case full of swords and picked one up as he unsheathed it. His skill in swordsmanship had increased greatly in Creta as that was their primary weapon.
"LUKE!?" Ed called out loudly and abruptly. He was never one for manners.

Leaning against a side wall, the large mercenary looked up. A feral grin split his face as he looked the younger, smaller man over. Keen eyes evaluated the target.
"No. Not quite, Mister Elric.", he said, drawing to his full height. He ran a hand through his shorter, neatly cut, blond hair, and walked onto the mat. Clad in a pair of black slacks and a tight fitting shirt, the trio of weapons were not concealed, nor was the automail that replaced his left arm. "The good news is I've been hired to kill State Alchemists, which you no longer are."
Gideon shrugged as he reached up to his shoulder and pulled the knife out of its sheath. He admired it for a second, resting it casually in his hand. The blade was smooth, sharp. The guard across it was notched and worn. The grip was familiar and comfortable. An old friend. The two pistols stayed in their holsters. The way Gideon walked was... Animalistic. Predatory. Like a shark, circling a bleeding seal. Slow, soft steps, casually made in a pair of black, steel toed boots. His eyes looked back up, almost apologetic. Almost. Behind the facade was something else entirely. Mockery. Sarcasm. He smiled again.
"The bad news? What better way to spread the word than by crushing the skull of one of the most... prized pets of Mustang?"
The last few words, though lightly said, dripped with distaste. He shook his head, spinning the knife around, dropping his arms. The blade faced upwards, towards the thumb, as he slid subtly into a comfortable, braced combat stance. He didn't advance quite yet. He just watched the young man, waiting for whatever reply he'd be able to muster. Quiet, implicit, and brutal violence, beneath a pale veneer of politeness and disrespect.

The Bang bang bang of a hammer pounding nails could be heard from above, and then, a shout "Hang on!" And footsteps heading down a hidden flight of stairs. A door opened and a head poked out into the dojo. "Ye-" But Luke didn't get very far, because someone else showed up. This one seemed....dangerous. From the glint in his eyes, to the way he was bristling with weapons.
"......What the hell did you do man?" He asked, looking to the other guy, "Elric?....As in Edward Elric? Former State Alchemist? Ahhh.....dammit. Fine. If you're not here to cause trouble then....what's with the cat?" nothing made sense. Sighing, Luke walked out into the open, towering over Edward by nearly two feet.
"Those swords aren't sharp." He warned, "You can't be too careful against thieves, but they're heavy and strong." He said, removing a chain from his neck. Dangling from the end of it, was a wooden flute, which he put into a small safe. He didn't want it getting damaged.
He turned his attention to the other man, "Look.....I don't know you are, but if you want to beat the crap out of somebody in my own dojo .... I've no choice but to join in the fight." He didn't know exactly how skilled these people were, but judging from the way they carried themselves, they were good. Very good. Dammit all.
He knew he couldn't very well go into this fight unarmed, so he reached up above his head, slamming his fist into the ceiling to reveal a hidden compartment, in which a small cache of swords was stored. He quickly snatched down two of them and handed another to Edward. "Might be a little long for you. The men in my family have always been pretty tall, but I don't think it'll be a problem for you."
And he crouched into a fighting stance, his swords held at the ready in a Z shape, his right leg extended out, his left bent. The scar on his face gave him a rather fearsome appearance as he glared at the troublemaker.
"Hey Edward." He said, "You used to be a member of the state right?" He asked, "If I get hauled in for questioning....you'll vouch for me right?" His blue eyes glanced around the room, looking for the cat. She was long gone, carried off to safety by his own cat, which was a rare and exotic breed, and the size of a cocker spaniel.
"Let's get this party started." he announced.

Another huge man showed up inside of the dojo, his eyes they weren't soft. Not like Ed had heard about Luke. No Al would not trust one of his loved cats to this type of man. "And you are?" He asked with a questioned look, just who did this guy think he was that he was talking to Ed like that. He said the good news was that he was hired to kill State Alchemists, but Ed was not one. A laugh escaped his lips as this man said it was his job to kill State Alchemists.
"Good luck with that one pal, really. Last time someone had a mission like that, he was a skilled Ishvalan monk with ancient alchemy on his side. You really think you could live up to the legend of Scar?" Ed asked with a bright smile on his face as he held the sword firmly. Then another man, with much softer of an expression came down. That was Luke, Ed was almost sure of it. "I take it as your Luke?" He asked with some hope.
Although the other man had a knife out, so Ed was on full alert. Luke warned him that the blades weren't sharp. "It's ok, I'm not one for killing anyway. More of a peaceful kinda guy." He said as he stared into the eyes of the man. His eyes read nothing but cold murder. Something that he had seen plenty of in his life but still, he faced off against Father. A brutal homunuclous, this guy was nothing compared to him or most of the others he had fought.
Luke handed Ed a little longer of a sword that he unsheathed. "A couple of years ago, this would have been really off my balance but now. It seems to fit a little better." He said as he stared into the tall muscular built man's eyes. "If your here to crush my skull, then you better be ready for a rush ride!" Edward said as he quickly moved and pressed his leg against the wall as he soared through the air with amazing agility.
Edward Elric was one of the fastest moving fighters known and over the past two years, his martial arts along with any other kind of hand to hand combat had improved greatly. All of that was put into show as the sword was swung and swished through the air towards the man as it also allowed enough room for Luke to attack as well.

Impetuous child. Gideon was slower, yes, but much older. Much larger at that. Moving off the ground was rarely ever a good idea, especially against a skilled opponent. The Mercenary was one. And he was a damn sight quicker than anyone his size should be. He stepped forward and raised his left arm, catching the sword at the pommel. He spun with the smaller mans momentum, pulling him along in a full 360, releasing Ed towards the owner of the dojo. The moves were short, quick, and linear. No motion was wasted on the throw. The Mercenary came back around, dropping into a lower, more centered position.
The knife retained it's position the entire time. A nice, medium guard. This man was perfectly at home with the blade. A feral, entertained grin split his face as he allowed the adrenaline to start kicking in. His weight shifted a little, adjusting his weight around as he watched the results. A flash of insight kicked in as his keen memory brought something to mind. A little bit of... Force, if you will.
"If you want to fly, I'll assist you." Gideon said with a laugh. "Keep it up and you'll come up short in this fight, kiddo."

Luke didn't attack right away, "I'm not looking to kill." He muttered, "But if it happens, it happens." He watched Edward and the other guy, both of whom seemed ready and willing to do anything to win. Suddenly, Edward was airborne, thrown directly at him. If he wanted, he probably could have caught him and thrown him straight back. He didn't, instead he leaned far back, allowing the smaller one to fly over him.
Then, Luke straightened back up, keeping his eyes on his opponent. "Hey." He said, "I'd like to at least know your name. So I help the military identify your body." As he advanced on the man, Luke didn't leave any openings for attack, he also didn't have any discernible pattern to his fighting either, he was unpredictable.
He focused fully on his attacker, wasting little movement, dodging with slight changes of his body angle, looking for openings, he mainly used his swords for protection and blocking, and when he would cut, he'd use both, sometimes just one while he blocked with the other and kicked out with one leg. Luke was never in one place for long, he moved about a lot.
Luke then charged in for Gideon, swords at the ready to stab into the man, then without warning, he threw the blades up and into the ceiling, jumping after them he grabbed the hilts and lifted himself into the air, slamming both feet powerfully into his chest. As his weight brought the swords down, Luke hit the floor on his back and rolled, popping back onto his feet, ready for more.
For all his size and weight, Luke was fast and nimble, but as he ran for another attack, Gideon got the upper hand. Luke went in with both swords, but the man attacked not him, but the weapons and with a sharp ping the blades both snapped off, flying in different directions.
"Dammit." Luke hissed, throwing down the useless hilts. He then turned and charged toward Edward.
"We should keep this fight in here as much as possible." He said lowly, "I don't want any innocents getting hurt....not that....we're not innocents but...you get the point." He grumbled, he moved with Edward, then held a whispered conversation with him, readying a joint attack this time.

Even with Ed's sword that flew at the man who targeted him, well the attack didn't work out too well. The man grabbed onto his arm and spun him in a complete 360 as he was thrown back towards Luke. Without a hesitation, Luke ducked as Ed hit the ground and rolled some so he was flat on his back. "Dammit." He said as he looked up before he finally moved so he was sitting in an upward position.
Now it was Ed who watched as Luke ran at the man, threw his swords in the air and landed a solid kick but as the second attack started the blades of Luke's swords were broken and he retreated back to talk with Ed. "Well I guess we are just gonna have to do this one together. Mind if you gave me a lift?" Ed asked in a whispering tune.
The two ran at the man and quickly Ed jumped upward and when Luke ducked down, he landed ontop of his shoulders. They both sprung upward and Ed moved off the shoulders and went over the man's head to land behind him. This was to prevent him from making an escape out the door to bring innocents into the game. "Hope you're ready bastard!" Ed screamed as he swung his blade at him.

Gideon paused, watching as the two stopped, beginning their discussion. It would be a simple thing to begin firing on them, but, well... Bigger pictures were always apparent to those who'd look for them. Those like Gideon, who sheathed his knife and waited for the two to resume their attacks. And resume them they did, with an unusual and unexpected maneuver. The smaller Elric used the owner of the Dojo as a springboard, clearing Gideons head. Still in reach, but it would be terribly disadvantageous to grab for him, so he was allowed to pass. There was a soft thump behind him. It put a small obstruction towards the door, in the event of an escape, but there was always another way out.
One behind, one forward. Only one thing to do.
"I'm always ready, kid.", Gid said with a small grin as he rushed forward, advancing on Luke with a series of hooks and jabs. Eds blade swung through empty air. Impressive, astonishing amounts of speed and reach made the years of experience Gideon had even more apparent. Hints of numerous forms of some manner of training could be seen. Just hints, though. His moves were precise and practiced, fluid and swift. A feral grin began to seep back onto his face, revealing a set of pearly white teeth as he advanced on the swordsman.
He was entirely too perceptive, too. Attacks coming in from behind him were turned aside. Admittedly, he wasn't able to do much more than hold them at bay. The swords strikes were leaving scrapes and scratches across his automail arm as he would turn and block the slashes, or turn the thrusts aside. Still, his smile persisted. He was enjoying this fight. He wasn't showing signs of exhaustion, or wearing down, either. Was he taking it easy on the two?
