GENERAL DESCRIPTION|| Alice is a very small girl. At first glance, she can be assumed to be very ordinary and unremarkable. In fact, the way she dresses, your first glance on any given day would reveal a working boy. She often has her long orangish red hair somewhat contained beneath a cap, and will wear whatever clothes she can get her hands on.

Rio is very short, but never say that to her face. She is slender as well, thus resembling a twig as far as physique goes. She is actually kind of shapeless right now, with breasts and hips that even she admits are kinda pathetic. But she has a pretty, almost innocent face, which succeeds in making her age a little bit hard to guess.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES||She has the roman numeral thirteen tattooed on her left collarbone and on her back; she has a star on the back of her right arm from being stabbed by a thug.

GENERAL PERSONALITY|| Rio is, for the most part, a rather cheerful and almost positive girl. Even while she herself usually is dwelling in the negative of everything, she tries her best to make sure others see the lighter side, mostly because she hates seeing other people down. She is very mellow and rarely ever gets loud or violent, and big shows of emotion from here are extremely rare. She is the kind of person who floats through life, taking whatever comes her way and rolling with it. Though this sounds like an admirable skill, it actually comes from her dislike of conflict and her terror of putting effort into anything, for fear of it falling through. Because of this, she often comes off as being a very lazy individual.

Rio spends most of her time infernally bored, and lives her life based almost solely on what seems interesting and fun in the moment. She usually sits back and waits for something to happen, as she also happens to feel tired and without energy all the time. She likes to spark fires and start riots, but you’ll be darned if you catch her participating.

Rio complains and demands and whines a lot, but her heart is in the right place. She’s the kind of girl who’ll carry you when you’re injured through the streets to the hospital and maybe even pay if she has the money, but she’ll be complaining about how heavy you are every step of the way. She is too proud to admit that she can help someone just for the sake of helping them. She doesn’t hate things nearly as much as she says she does, but complaining and pointing out the negative is all she knows how to do right now.

HISTORY|| Alice was born to a family that was already extremely poor. From the very beginning, she was a very unlucky child; bad luck and ill tidings seemed to follow in her every footstep, to the point where some people even believed that she was cursed. She always had a wound, always caused accidents, and her family had long runs of having almost no money or having bug infestations or something else equally “unlucky”.

Being the only child, Alice was doted upon by her parents, but she was also very lonely and had to work very hard with the two of them to keep their family afloat. She started working from the moment she was old enough to walk, doing little bitty things here and there like delivering for coins or something. Of course, this didn’t go too well considering she’d usually end up tripping on the way and dropping the delivery, or getting lost and never showing up at all. The harder she worked, though, the worse things seemed to become.

Her life took a horrible turn when she was twelve years old. Her mother passed away, and she and her father lost their house, leaving them out on the street. That year was one of the worst of her life; she can never remember being hungrier or more miserable. And even then, her bad luck didn’t leave them alone…soon, her father fell ill too, as did she. Any job either of them got didn’t work out and in a storm one night all their money was lost.

Though normally this might have inspired some and left them with a stronger desire to fight, it just drained what little fight Alice had left to begin with, leaving her in the lazy, somewhat bitter shell she is in now.
Finally, her father had had enough. He gathered all the money they had and used it to send Alice to Central, where he hoped she would be able to find a job and a life. She only agreed to leave on the promise that they would stay in touch, hoping with all of her heart that her bad luck didn’t ruin this as well.

As it turned out, she couldn’t get a job in Central…not a solid one, anyway. She spends most of her time sleeping either out on the streets or with people kind enough to take her in (though she will break her vow of laziness to avoid taking hand-outs), and takes literally whatever job comes her way. Lately she has been considering joining the military, though the work hours do scare her a little bit…

Angel sighed, breathing in a deep breath of the air...and exhaling with a cough. "Ahh, remind me never to do that again," she complained to no one in particular, shoving her hands in her pockets and stomping through the chill, pouting. Why couldn't the air be a little bit nicer to her? She put a hand on her lung, her sigh more shallow this time. Darn this dirty air. She adjusted the strap of her bag and continued on her journey, greeting everyone who passed her by with a bright smile.

That was a lot of people. After a while, she just kept the smile on her face.

The sound of paint cans clanking together was barely audible as the girl marched purposefully down the streets, looking for a good place where she wouldn't be bothered by someone. Tagging was one of her absolute favorite things to do...it was one of the things that had gotten her to fall in love with the "gang life", as her mother so affectionately referred to it. She wondered what the woman would say if she knew that her "sick" little girl was part of "that crowd".

Finally, she found a good stretch with not too many people around. Not that she didn't love showing off her artistic talent to others, but she found that too many questions were often asked, and a lot of goody-two-shoes would try and stop her, saying she was doing bad things. And then there was always the threat of rival gang members. The very thought caused the teen to look around, just making sure that she really was alone. Smiling to herself, she dropped her bag unceremoniously on the ground, pulled out her first can and began her masterpieces. While she worked, her mind wandered, as it was wont to do when she tagged.

Today, she found herself recalling her recent trip to that stupid crazy house her mother had sent her to all those years ago. That stupid doctor kept telling her she was still "sick"...oh, that had left her insuch a bad mood!! Even now, she felt a bit lingering bits of fire in her breast, working up towards some real anger.

Angel really wasn't that sick, or so she believed. Physically, she was perfectly healthy! Just a bit of a cough sometimes, but she wasn't the kind of sick you saw in books and movies who collapsed at the most inopportune moment! All those silly doctors told her it was her mindthat was broken, but she thought they were all morons. Then again...she could hardly expect them to understand her.

They were just humans.

She blinked, hearing footsteps. She stopped spraying for a moment, turning her head to look at whoever it was. "Hello?" Though she was so very tempted to tell them her name in that first breath, she thought it might be better if she waited to see if they were even coming her way.
